Clinical Pilates is a modified form of Pilates, a rehabilitative exercise regime, particularly effective for back pain and injuries.
The primary focus is to re-educate the ‘core’ muscles, while holistically retraining the mind and body as a whole.
Clinical Pilates is taught exclusively by physiotherapists.
A pilates program suitable for the back pain sufferer is its first difference!!!
Back to back pilates draws on 12 years of clinical pilates experience and more than 20 years of clinical physiotherapy experience, coupled with the most up to date scientific evidence. Gentle elements of yoga and Tai Chi are also incorporated. The result is a thorough and effective exercise program. The clear step by step instructions will allow you to move from the most gentle ‘core stabilisation’ and postural control through the beginner exercise program to a daily maintenance exercise program.
It is the first of its kind AND IT WORKS.

The DVD is divided into 4 different series.
The “Getting Started” series teaches you the theory behind core stabilization, basic core stabilization technique and postural correction. This section is vital for all back pain sufferers. The basic exercises from this section should be practiced daily “just like brushing your teeth”.
“The Beginers Series” introduces you to gentle mat work exercises. These exercises will commence the pain reduction process. However If your back pain is exacerbated STOP and consult your doctor or physiotherapist. We do not recommend that you progress past this section until your back pain has been resolved.
Series 3 and 4 are more intermediate exercises. Once your back pain has improved, these exercises are appropriate. If any pain is exacerbated, return to the ‘beginner series’ for another week.
As with all exercise programs, there is a risk that exercise may cause injury or an exacerbation of your existing back pain or medical condition.
You should consut your doctor or physiotherapist prior to performing any of the exercises in The Back to Back Pilates for Back Pain DVD series or supporting material.
If you feel any increase in your existing condition or any other pain while performing an exercise in The Back to Back Pilates for Back Pain DVD series or supporting material, STOP and consult your doctor or physiotherapist.
We do not recommend that you progress past the “Beginner Series” exercises until your back pain has been resolved.
Back to Back Pilates assume no responsibility for any injuries caused while performing any of the exercises in The Back to Back Pilates for Back Pain DVD series or supporting material.
